Northwood Health Systems
Formerly known as Northern Panhandle Behavioral Health Center, Northwood
Health Systems is an innovative network of services ranging from outpatient
to residential care. Northwood operates from 30 locations in Ohio,
Marshall and Wetzel counties, providing direct services to thousands
of people annually, including children, adolescents, adults and senior
citizens.Northwood serves people who have mental illnesses, developmental
disabilities, emotional problems and substance dependencies.
The community-at-large also benefits
from Northwood services that help persons choose healthful lifestyles.
Northwood prevention specialists reach more than 10 percent of
the area's total population through the presentations they make
each year at schools, civic groups and other organizations.
Serving business and industry is another
important mission of Northwood. The agency provides Employee Assistance
Programs, chemical dependency treatment, outpatient counseling,
assessment and other services to help businesses improve productivity
by assisting workers who have problems that interfere with their
ability to work efficiently.
